Social Space was created by Cooper Barrett in the fall of 2023.

After working as an organizer during the presidential election in 2016, and wanting to find a creative outlet for his interests, Cooper saw an opportunity to create a sustainable clothing brand with meaning called Social Clothing.

Beginning in Los Angeles as a made-to-order custom hand painted jacket brand, Social Clothing soon found homes in retail stores in Atlanta and NYC as a ready to wear sustainable and upcycle brand.

Having worked in retail for many years, and experiencing the vendor/retailer relationship, Cooper saw an opportunity to do better for smaller brands and creators in the Atlanta area.

Social Space was born out of a need for local creators, artists, designers, and curators to have a home for their work right on the Eastside Beltline.
